At the GMB Studio, we make art accessible through various activities suitable for children and adults. In addition, you can have a snack, relax, or pass the time. Entrance to the studio is free during the gallery's opening hours. We look forward to your visit!

Sculpture Laboratory

Welcome to the Sculpture Laboratory, which builds on Bratislava City Art, a long-term research project that maps works in public space. The materials used to create the artworks have their own history, properties, and life cycles. Explore them in the corners of the studio and try to create your own sculpture. Explore the digital workplace that will literally turn your thinking upside down.
  • Recommended age: 3+
  • Estimated duration: 15 – 30 minutes
  • Admission is free during opening hours of the gallery
  • Slovak and English Instructions are available
  • The space is barrier-free
You can experience the Sculpture Laboratory firsthand for one year. Part of the program will also include workshops or family programs focused on different sculpting approaches. We will gradually publish the offer.

Graphic Studio – Linocut / 2023

Free self-service area for children and adults in Mirbach Palace

Try your hand at the linocut technique: draw, engrave, print, and take home your own graphic art. Get inspired by the display in our Graphics Cabinets, the only space of its kind in Slovakia. Entrance to the Studio is free during opening hours, and creative workshops are prepared for our youngest visitors as well as for adults. If you do not feel comfortable working on your own, the GMB Studio hosts a guided creative workshop on the first Saturday of every month.
