Within Mirbach Palace and Pálffy Palace

Bratislava City Gallery offers exclusive venues for hire within the historic buildings of Mirbach Palace and Pálffy Palace, both located in the heart of the city. These spaces are ideal for a wide range of corporate and private functions, including literary and musical evenings, lectures, video presentations, panel discussions, seminars, and workshops, as well as for wedding ceremonies and gala receptions. Both Mirbach Palace and Pálffy Palace provide excellent backdrops for period photography and video recordings. The venues are only available for events that comply with the GMB Code of Ethics.

Mirbach Palace, 11 Františkánske Square

Studio

  • Area: 150 m2
  • Interior, ground floor
  • Capacity: seating 50 persons; standing 100 persons
  • Newly opened, the Studio is housed within the representative part of Mirbach Palace in Bratislava's historic pedestrian zone and offers venues for a range of events. The Studio comprises three ground-floor rooms (48 m2, 40 m2 and 60 m2), with barrier-free entrance through an inner courtyard that features a fountain by Viktor Tilgner. It is especially suitable for social gatherings, literary and musical evenings, lectures, panel discussions, seminars, and workshops.

Courtyard

  • Area: 160 m2

  • Capacity: seating 70 persons; balcony seating 30 persons; standing 140 persons
  • Mirbach Palace is one of the best-preserved buildings in the original architectural style of old Pressburg. The Courtyard of this rococo palace, with its barrier-free entrance and fountain by Viktor Tilgner, provides an ideal setting for concerts, readings, screenings, theatre performances, banquets, wedding receptions, and other significant social events.

Concert Hall

  • Area: 76 m2
  • Interior, 1st floor
  • Capacity: seating 50 persons; standing 70 persons
  • Mirbach Palace is one of the best-preserved buildings in the original architectural style of old Pressburg. The Concert Hall, with its excellent acoustic properties and barrier-free access, is an ideal location for hosting concerts, lectures, conferences, banquets, and wedding ceremonies. A piano and amenities for musicians are also available.

Attic

  • Area: 162 m2

  • Capacity: seating 70 persons; standing 100 persons
  • Mirbach Palace is one of the best-preserved buildings in the original architectural style of old Pressburg. The Attic offers an intimate space for concerts, workshops, theatre performances, cinematic showings, lectures, social events, and small conferences.

Pálffy Palace, 19 Panská Street

  • Pálffy Palace, with its elements of Gothic architecture, is one of the most exceptional locations in the historical centre of Bratislava. The unconventional basement space is ideal for various events, including photo shoots and video presentations.

  • Pálffy Palace, with its elements of Gothic architecture, is one of the most exceptional locations in the historical centre of Bratislava. The Courtyard of Pálffy Palace is connected to the courtyard of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design [1], and offers a large enough space for concerts, theatre performances, cinematic showings, banquets, and wedding ceremonies.

Studio

  • Area: 165 m2
  • Interior, 1st floor
  • Capacity: seating 40 persons (Cinema Auditorium); standing 120 persons (Studio 37 m2, Gothic Hall 71 m2, Cinema Auditorium 57 m2)
  • The Studio is housed in the representative area of Pálffy Palace within Bratislava's historic pedestrian zone. It comprises three rooms (Studio 37 m2, Gothic Hall 71 m2, and Cinema Auditorium 57 m2) and offers various options for conferences, receptions, and lectures.

Photography and filming in the interiors of the palaces

Private use

  • The gallery allows photographing and filming everywhere without flash and tripod for private purposes only.
  • The gallery reserves the right not to allow photographing and filming at exhibitions in specific cases. The visitor will be notified of the ban in the form of a pictogram when entering the relevant exhibition spaces.

Commercial use

  • €40 per hour, photographing and filming are permitted in all areas open to visitors (Studio, Concert Hall, Cinema Auditorium, Courtyards, exhibition spaces, balconies). Allowed only after official e-mail request [email protected].
  • FREE For journalists photographing and filming in the gallery is allowed for free after official e-mail request [email protected].

  • Courtyard: up to 3 hours €350; each additional hour €50
  • Courtyard and Studio together: up to 3 hours €500; each additional hour €50

Pálffy Palace

  • Basement; Studio: up to 3 hours €200; each additional hour €50
  • Courtyard: up to 3 hours €350; each additional hour €50

Non-Commercial Events (conferences, seminars, lectures, workshops, rental of Concert Hall for elementary art schools, etc.)

Mirbach Palace

  • Courtyard and Studio together: up to 3 hours €300; each additional hour €25
  • Courtyard: up to 3 hours €200; each additional hour €25
  • Studio; Concert Hall; Attic: up to 3 hours €150; each additional hour €25

Pálffy Palace

  • Basement; Studio: up to 3 hours €100; each additional hour €25
  • Courtyard: up to 3 hours €200; each additional hour €25

Staff

Pricing dependent upon the number of staff and hours required. At least one internal GMB member of staff must be on site throughout the entire event.

Technical Equipment

Price dependent upon type of equipment required. Examples of equipment available include projectors, speakers, and microphones.
