The Bratislava City Gallery’s temporary exhibition space is located within the basement of Pálffy Palace on Panská Street. Through an open invitation, as a part of our varied and dynamic program of events, it is made available to artists, curators, and artistic stakeholders for staging exhibitions and for displaying research and scholarship outputs. Project proposals are accepted on an ongoing basis, and are approved by the GMB's internal curatorial team, who ensure that the program responds flexibly to contemporary cultural and social affairs, and showcases authors from across the art scene. The GMB has no other conditions, although in line with the environmental values to which the Gallery subscribes, it will prioritise projects with the least environmental impact.
Information for applicants
Applications are accepted throughout the year. A concept of the exhibition project (about 250 words) together with the completed form should be sent to [email protected].
Applicants will receive written notification from the GMB no later than two months after submitting the application.
A contract of cooperation defining the responsibilities of the contracting parties will be concluded with successful applicants.
The GMB will provide successful applicants with:
- exhibition space
- institutional facilities
- works transportation within SR
- technical support
- promotional support
- exhibition security
- contribution to royalties
GMB reserves the right to determine the level of co-financing with respect to its project budget for any given calendar year.
